| Extramural vascular invasion (EMVI) is a critical impact factor of treatment decisions and prognosis of rectal cancer. Imaging serves as the primary method for preoperative diagnosis and assessment of rectal cancer, but its sensitivity and specificity for evaluating EMVI of rectal cancer are limited. In recent years, the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has provided new approaches for predicting EMVI of rectal cancer based on imaging. The research progresses in radiomics and combined with AI for predicting EMVI of rectal cancer were reviewed in this article. |
